Chevening Scholarships are the program of UK government which is funded by the FCO (Foreign and Common Wealth Comission) and other member organisations.This program awards the best students from all over the world to get their further education in various graduates and postgraduate programs in different faculties from the universities in the UK.
In 1983 The Chevening Scholarship program was established and till now has got it's respected international level.Students from around one hundred and fifty nations and almost from the whole world excluding the UK and the European nation comes for this Chevening Scholarship.This year at around fifteen hundred students will be awarded.Today a strong and globalized network has already been established by around forty three thousands Chevening alumni.
The program provides full or partial financing for full-time faculties at postgraduate level, usually a 1-year Master’s degree, in any faculty and at any university in the UK.
To get a Ch-evening Scholarship Award,should:
> Be a national of a Chevening-suitable country, and mean to return there for at least two years after you complete Chevening Scholarship program.
> Have a degree which is equal to at least an upper-2nd class (2:1) honours degree in the UK before you apply.
> Have completed minimum 2 years' of working experience before you apply.Voluntary work and paid or unpaid internships can b accepted.
> Meet the Chevening English language criteria by 15th of July 2015.
> Apply to 3 different eligible UK university courses (unless otherwise specified in your award category). For more information please visit ‘which courses should I apply for?’
>Should not bear a British citizenship or dual British citizenship, until you are a national of a British Overseas Territory or hold BN(O) and are applying from Hong Kong.
> Not have studied before in the UK under the scholarship provided by UK government.
> Not be a Government employee,family member of employee,or have worked before as a government employee (since July 2012) (including British Embassies/High Commissions, the Department for International Development, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, UK Trade and Investment, the Ministry of Defense and the Home Office), the British Council, a partner, a sponsoring UK university, or a staff member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
