University of Sussex, UK(Chancellors International Scholarship Program)

The University of Sussex was the 1st of the new age of UK universities established in the 60s, receiving its Royal Charter in 1961.

Sussex is a top research university, as per the 2008 Research appraisal Exercise. More than ninety percent of Sussex research work was rated as world preceding, internationally good or internationally renowned , making sure of the University among the leading 30 research universities in the United Kingdom, on the basis of all scores. Eighteen subjects are ranked among the top Twenty research in the UK, along the sciences, social sciences and arts with American studies ranked top in the UK, Political science in number Two, and Art & history in number Three.

Regarding Chancellor's International Scholarship 2015
There are all together Twenty Five scholarships provided in the Sussex Schools, and are awarded according to the academic achievement  and ability. The scholarships are given for 1 year.

Valid to: International Students (Non-UK/EU nationals)

Type of award: Postgraduate

Award amount: 50% off in tuition fee for international students

Eligibility:
You must reach the following criteria to be eligible for a Chancellor's International Scholarship:

> If your application have been accepted at a place to join a Postgraduate degree at the University of Sussex, for example: MA(Master's in Arts), MSc,(Master's in Science, LLM, MRes, Postgraduate Diploma, and Graduate Diploma) except the following degrees:
> Courses in the Institute of Development Studies, excluding the MA Gender and Development course
> MSc in Social Research Methods + DPhil combined (1+3 degrees)
> International foundation years, International Year 1 Diploma in Business and Management, and Pre-masters
> Pre-Masters Degrees and Diplomas at partner colleges which are valid by Sussex School.
>Should be able to pay the tuition cost at the non-EU rate.
>Should  have enough money to pay your tuition and living cost,after you receive certain award of a Chancellor's International Scholarship.

What are the conditions upon which the scholarships will be awarded?
Academic achievement and ability are the main basis on which the scholarships are provided.These points will be judged by a selection team at Sussex according to the information available on the Scholarship Application Form. The selection team  will pay special concern on the information provided in personal statement part of the form. Financial need will not be the basis to award scholarships.
